ZARCILLO 2023, THE IBERIAN WINE AWARDS

The Iberian Wine Awards Zarcillo will celebrate its 19th edition in Burgos on 23, 24, 25 and 26 of march 2023. We are expecting to receive more than 2,000 samples from 40 different countries to build a new stage where we want to empower the international character of the contest. In this way we hope the prizes will get a higher recognition for buyers, sommeliers, and customers from the whole Europe, and make this award one of the most important international wine contest. The wine award is organized by the regional government of Castilla y León, Junta de Castilla y León, since 1991, with the support of the International Wine Organization (OIV) and it¿s part of VINOFED (World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits competitions).

For this edition, The Zarcillos Iberian Wine Awards, will show off its new trade mark that boost its original focus to turn into a meeting point for the best world wines that emphasise high quality wines and contribute to expand wine culture with special attention to the way it is elaborated in the Iberian countries, Spain and Portugal. 
For this new stage, this biennial contest with more than thirty years of history will be enforced for the bonds between these two countries to become a well positionated international award for the whole world wines. Furthermore, we hope to boost our international image having Germany as an invited country for this edition.

Samples can now be sent to the Oenological Station in Castilla y León. The 16th March 2023 is the last day of the receipt of the samples.
