The VII international edition of the Zarcillo Awards 2013 is already underway. It also coincides with the XV National Competition of these awards which, over time, have become one of the most important events in the vinicultural world. Some have even compared them to the cinematographic Academy Awards (Oscars) of the United States in order to give them the prominence they deserve.
Under the responsibility of the Technological Institute for Agriculture Affairs of Castilla y León as the entity organising the event and sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Farming of the Junta de Castilla y León, the Zarcillo Awards 2013 will most certainly achieve a higher level of success than the 2.180 samples submitted during the last edition.
A watchful eye will have to be kept on the calendar since 15th May is the deadline for admitting samples in the Oenological Station of Castilla y León,located in calle Santísimo Cristo 16, Rueda (Valladolid-Spain).
The wine tasting sessions will be held on 21st, 22, 23 and 24th of May in Valladolid, during which an accredited and prestigious international jury will qualify the wines capable of being the winners of the Silver Zarcillo, Golden Zarcillo and the Great Golden Zarcillo awards.
